Sparks is back with Inside Out: Emotional Collage & Color Exploration
What does grief look like? What color is joy? How does anxiety move across a page?
In this immersive mixed-media collage class, participants will use imagery, texture, and color to visually express emotions that are often difficult to put into words. Through guided prompts and intuitive creation, students will build deeply personal collages inspired by inner feelings, memories, and emotional energy.
Together, we’ll explore the emotional language of color and how layering materials can mirror the complexity of human experience. This class emphasizes freedom, release, and self-expression over perfection, offering a therapeutic creative space for reflection and discovery.
No art experience necessary—just curiosity, openness, and the desire to create from within.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
