YES! House Futures (YHF) was a process to establish a shared vision for the future operations and stewardship of The YES! House Building, an in-progress creative community gathering space and home base for the Department of Public Transformation (DoPT) in downtown Granite Falls, MN. The YES! House Futures process was one of six actions included in the 2022 Plans for Community Connectivity in Granite Falls.

DoPT staff and board started the design and planning process for The YES! House Futures Committee in early June 2022; we communicated plans for the Committee to the Granite Falls City Council in August 2022; and we released information and public application process on September 1, 2022. The application deadline was extended from October 5, 2022, to October 10, 2022. All 7 selected committee members were officially confirmed in early December 2022. The committee held its first meeting on January 12, 2023. The committee met 3 additional times and completed their service in June 2023. You can read the approved meeting minutes below.

The YES! House is an inspired inclusive space where staff and volunteers host locals, artists, and visitors in conversations, collaborations, and creativity.

Stewardship + Operations Forecast to be implemented at The YES! House over the next few years
The YES! House is guided and cared for by a local group committed to transparency, accountability, and community connection in partnership with Department of Public Transformation (DoPT). The YES! House is staffed, financed, and managed by DoPT.
