Join us at The YES! House on Friday, March 27th for Walker Peterson's River Valley Ripple Artist Salon: Live in Concert with STUBBORN! Doors open at 6 PM with a social hour where guests can mingle and enjoy appetizers and beverages.
At 7 PM Walker, stage name "STUBBORN", will be performing his new original music influenced by his own life experiences both past and present. The show will be put on in collaboration with Walker's producer/ engineer Gibson Prescher. Following the performance will be an Artist Q&A and conversation where guests can learn more about Walker and his music.
Artist Bio:
Walker Peterson, Wicake, is Sisseton Wahpeton Dakota and member of the Upper Sioux Community. Walker, stage name "STUBBORN" describes his music as a mix of hip-hop and indie rap. Walker draws upon music's therapeutic ability that provides him with an emotional outlet where he processes addiction and explores cultural identity.
His most recent album, Dreams Aren't Far, in collaboration with producer JWB, Dine' explores stereotypes and current struggles in Native community. Peterson's music, including four albums, like Chicken Scratch and Off Sale with producer Gibson Prescher, can be found on all streaming platforms.
Walker was recently selected for a 2026 River Valley Ripple Artist Residency through Department of Public Transformation, where he'll be creating works focusing on the concept of fear, its common relatability, and overcoming it. When Walker is not working on music, he enjoys cooking, being in nature, and spending time with his partner and family.
