Meet our next Exchange Residency artist, Regina M Flanagan, out of Saint Paul, MN!
Regina is a landscape architect, artist, and writer who will use her time at The YES! House to continue working on her newest project, titled "This Life."
As part of her Exchange Residency, Regina will host a workshop called "What's Outside the Frame?" on Thursday, November 19th, at 5:30 PM to begin exploring and capturing stories about your own family and land!
Bring a photograph of an ancestor, a loved one (relative, family member, or pet), an important place, or a cherished object to the workshop, and work on a story to accompany it. Regina will guide participants to use these items to tell their stories and create a one-of-a-kind gift, such as a framed print, video/audio recording, or your own unique idea!
Participants will have access to internet research, a scanner to produce digital versions of original photographs, and a printer for printing text and photos. If you bring an object, Regina will photograph it to accompany your story.
Complimentary snacks will be provided, with beverages available for purchase!
Can't make it to this workshop? Regina will also be sharing some of her work at Bad Luck Book Club on Friday the 13th!

Regina has deep rural roots as she grew up on a dairy farm near Bear Creek, Wisconsin, which is still family owned and operated by her brothers, Cliff and Jim Flanagan! Regina has been photographing her family and their farm since she was 15 years old; that’s more than 50 years! Lately, she has been plumbing the memories behind the photographs to write the stories that capture “What’s Outside the Frame.”
